I really don't get why the Bears would want a back up guard who didn't play much last year to be their center when you drafted one of the best QB prospects in years. That makes no sense to me. I'd feel better with Coleman who actually played the position. They are taking a huge risk if Bates is the starting center IMO.

Velus Jones best chances of making this team may be at WR. As far as special teams is concerned; the recent addition of Deandre Carter may have caused his value to dip down a bit. Then consider both Khalil Herbert and Dante Pettis bring value returning punts and kick-offs. And if the kid Ian Wheeler continues to impress, his chances become slightly slimmer on special teams. With that being said, after the top 4 at WR, Velus Jones, Dante Pettis, and Deandre Carter have the best opportunity to secure the final spots. The Bears will most likely keep 7 on the roster. From a systems standpoint (West Coast Offense) if we're running multiple WR and RB sets, I can see the value Velus could bring lining up in the backfield or as a WR, where he could be used on screens, reverses, hand-offs, etc. Utilize his skillset to your advantage while minimizing the areas he's more likely to make mistakes..

I'm an Aussie fan of the NBA who just generally keeps tabs on how Aussie players are going in the best basketball competition in the world. I'll be watching a lot of Bulls basketball next year, as a lot of Aussie fans will - Josh Giddey is potentially the best player our country has produced; he is still young and raw and yet he has also racked up crucial experience - even bad, play-off failure experience - that is vital in the growth of players at the talent level of Giddey. He'll do really well as the primary ball-handler. Even when SGA was injured just prior to the play-offs, Giddey briefly stepped into a true PG guard role and immediately thrived in a way that he didn't for the rest of the season. He has the chance to be a unique talent; he is tall and he runs the floor well. I reckon he seriously needs to - and is capable of - improve his defensive game. This is a really balanced discussion btw; loved it.

Definitely agree with the trade grade butttt personally my (nonprofessional) opinion I think getting rid of derozan is absolutely insane I think we are focusing too much on giddy controlling the court I think if he works on his flaws and off ball it’s a different story my move would be expend Vucevic for sure and lavine definitely needs traded he’s has dealt with a few injuries and misses a lootttttt of games the past few so my move would be looking towards jazz and acquiring Donovan Mitchell with derozan, white, giddy, and then maybe look for another role rebounder/defensive bigger guy that plays like Caruso
